You ask what I’ve been knitting? Dishcloths!

Bejeweled Cloth

Stack o' Christmas Cloths

Another Christmas Cloth

Plus, I made some catnip mice. I may end up making more, though, so no photo yet! ;)

I don’t have too much Christmas knitting left to do. Really, I just have to finish a scarf for R., and make a few more catnip mice, if I want to, which… I may well not do right this minute. I still haven’t finished my shawl. Shame. On. Me.

Perhaps I’ll work on it once the scarf’s done! Perhaps. Or perhaps I’ll do like I’ve been dying to do, and start my Fetchings. So much yarn, so little time to knit!

  1. Whoa! Those starfish type things in that bowl in the first photo look like creepy WOLF spiders. Just saying. *shudder*

  3. LOL about the wolf spiders! Is that star anise?

  4. *dies laughing* Yes, it’s star anise!

The top dishcloth is a bamboo stitch variation. I’ve got my notes on it on Ravelry, or… Well, it’s quite simple.

Cast on any even number of stitches (I used 42, but it makes a smallish cloth ~ 8″) with size 7 needles.

Row 1: K1, *YO, K2, pass YO over k2, repeat from * until last stitch, K1
    Row 2: Knit

    Repeat until square!

  5. Those look furry cool … an’ I’m interested in the knitted mice, too.

Mom crochets, but she cannot knit.

Oh, I came here from Skeeter an’ LC’s blog …

    Happy Solstice!
