I’ve thought a lot about blogging lately. I’ve wanted to blog a lot of various things - mostly things with pictures, and the lack of pictures (where is my camera, anyway?) has turned into a lack of blogging. Really, it hasn’t been all that long, but long enough. I’ve been knitting in the last few days. I stopped with the sock I’ve learned to despise, and cast on and knit one… rather bizarre looking sock. Pics soon, I promise. It’s the most eautiful colors, but it turns out, I don’t really like my stripes. And more, I don’t really like the pattern. I mean, it fits. Wonderfully. But it looks like something out of Dr. Seuss - all pointy and pixie-ish. I dunno. Maybe it’ll grow on me. It’s nice and warm, though, knit with Paton’s Classic Merino Wool, and soft, too.

I’ll knit a second one, anyway, and have plenty plenty plenty of yarn leftover to do something else. Maybe new gloves, with just one color. *laugh* Or maybe a weird, pointy hat to go with the weird, pointy gloves. I dunno. We’ll see.

In other knitting news, I’ve also cast on and completed 12″ of the back of my sweatercoat. It’s from the Sept-Oct issue of Cast On, and it’s called Campus Coat. It’s supposed to be knit in Red Heart Light and Lofty, but Homespun’s so much nicer, and squishier, and I’m using it, in this pretty buff camel color. Ought to be gorgeous when I’m through. Then again, I always think that, until I’ve got something finished, and then I hate it. So who knows?
